Day in the life: Procurement Team Leader, Client Relationship Management team
This month, we delve into the professional journey and daily responsibilities of Sally Ali, one of our Procurement Team leaders in the Client Relationship Management team.
Sally's venture into the energy sector began 11 years ago when she fell into the industry during her gap year. What started as a temporary stint quickly became a long-term career. Her passion for helping clients reduce their energy expenses has been a driving force throughout her career, particularly in these financially testing times.
Sally's role is multifaceted, focusing on both client satisfaction and team performance. She helps clients achieve excellent rates on their energy contracts and manages queries on their behalf so they don’t have to.
The volatile nature of energy markets means Sally must ensure that clients sign energy contracts at the optimal time, especially when geopolitical factors cause sudden market fluctuations. She gets satisfaction advising clients on what they should do in such cases, demonstrating her resilience and commitment to her clients.
Internally, Sally monitors targets and ensures the team meets its monthly business goals. Balancing these responsibilities requires a keen eye for detail and a strategic approach to client management.
She believes hard work should be rewarded and recently introduced some fun team activities which have been well-received. Sally is continually seeking ways to enhance the work environment at Control Energy Costs, keeping a sense of community and motivation high. This, in turn, helps to deliver top results for clients.
