Annual away day
Sometimes the Control Energy Costs team needs to step away from the energy world and instead use their energy for competitive team sports!
We have a close working relationship with one of our key partners, Energy Connection Services (ECS). For over five years, we have worked together on hundreds of bespoke sitework projects for clients within our portfolio. Both parties are in communication daily and a full review of all current projects and progress takes place every two weeks via Teams.
In order to strengthen the bond between both companies, we set up an annual away day involving competitive team activities, followed by a meal, drinks and overnight stay.
Our inaugural event went ahead on Thursday 31st March at Bristol Activity Centre. Six team members from Control Energy Costs were in friendly competition with six team members from ECS. The day began with Battle Archery, followed by axe throwing, quad biking and bubble football.
Both companies displayed great team spirit throughout the day, but there could only be one winner. Unfortunately for us, it was ECS – well done!
After all that competitive energy drained away, our hungry tummies led us to Za Za Bazaar, where we enjoyed a fantastic meal. This was washed down with drinks in a nearby pub (we didn’t have the strength to venture further!).
Without a doubt, the event helped to create an even tighter bond between our two organisations and we are already looking forward to the next one in 2023!
