Business water connections services

We are experienced at dealing with water authorities for our clients over many years. We arrange business water connections, private mains and mains service extensions, from application through to point of connection only, ‘self-lay’ agreement options, whereby the client’s contractor would carry out majority of the installation, with the water authority completing the final point of connection.

All work carried out follows WIRS (Water Industry Registration Scheme) and is carried out by WIRSAE (Water Industry Registration Scheme Accredited Entity) contractors.

Water tendering and procurement contracts

Since April 2017, the water retail market has been opened to competition, allowing commercial organisations in England to choose their water provider. Many client portfolios taken on by these newly-formed providers have been plagued by inaccurate billing, specifically a worrying number of overcharges for services including surface water.

We will work with the water providers to obtain and then compare proposals from different providers on a like-for-like basis, making sure there aren’t any hidden charges or terms which could be to your disadvantage. Our aim is to ensure you are aware of all options and that you’re empowered to make informed decisions.

Through our client portal CECIL, we will manage your usage and provide you with management information to ensure that you are being correctly charged. Areas that we consider include:

• Metering and control solutions
• Audit and invoice validation
• Water leak analysis and recouping excess costs from the water provider
