Our frequently asked questions

Why should we work with Control Energy Costs?

Since we started in 1981 we have built up an enviable track record of building longstanding relationships with all the major energy suppliers, meaning we can be sure of getting the best deals to suit our clients’ diverse needs.

Our close working relationships with our clients means we understand them and the factors that impact on their electricity, gas and water purchasing requirements. Putting it simply, you can trust us to always find you the best deal and save you money when purchasing energy.

What will it cost us to work with you?

We used to operate on a share of the savings basis, but we have now moved to clear and transparent commission, with our Energy Brokerage service. The commission rate is agreed within a Client Service Agreement and sets out exactly what we will do for the agreed fee and you can be sure there will be no hidden charges.

Can you make us retrospective savings?

Our Forensic Cost Recovery service will carry out an in-depth analysis of your utility spend from the past six years and if there are any billing errors, you will receive a backdated refund. Going forward, our invoice validation service offers a full oversight of our service to you to provide re-assurance all your energy charges are correct, accurate and valid.

Could future changes in legislation affect us?

Don’t worry - At Control Energy Costs we will keep you updated regarding any changes in legislation that may impact on your business. Many people are concerned about how Brexit may affect their energy costs but you can be assured that we are monitoring the situation closely and will notify you in plenty of time if our exit from the EEC will have any effect on future energy procurement and costs.
